The Daytona Beach Street Rods, a club based in South Daytona, Florida, produce the Daytona Turkey Run in partnership with the Daytona Beach Racing and Recreational Facilities District. Started in 1974 by Stu Sarjeant, the Turkey Run is held twice a year at Daytona International Speedway, on Thanksgiving weekend and the fourth weekend in March, and it bills itself as the largest combined car show, swap meet and car corral in the USA. Its profits have funded charitable organizations as well as local programs, projects and recreational facilities.
