V8s for Vocations in Gallup, New Mexico, supports the education and formation of seminarians for the Diocese of Gallup by restoring and raffling classic V8 vehicles. The Rev. Matthew Keller started the project by restoring a donated 1972 Chevelle SS in 2014, which was raffled in 2016. Proceeds help cover tuition, housing, healthcare, insurance and travel for seminarians studying outside a diocese that covers 55,000 square miles of northeast Arizona and northwest New Mexico and serves a mostly Native American and Hispanic population.
