The Shelby American Collection is a volunteer-run nonprofit museum in Boulder, Colorado, dedicated to the legacy of Carroll Shelby and the Shelby American team. Open to the public since 1996, it celebrates the Cobra, Shelby Mustang and Ford GT40 cars that changed the face of auto racing in the 1960s, with historically significant race Cobras, Ford GTs and GT40s from private collectors and the Miller Family Automobile Foundation, along with race records, photographs and memorabilia from drivers and team members of the era. Carroll Shelby himself was involved with the museum until he passed away in 2012.
