The Rotary Club of Everett-Port Gardner in Everett, Washington, was formed when the city’s rapid growth in the mid-1980s showed the need for more Rotary clubs in the area. A committee led by Everett Rotary Club president Mark Samuelson began planning in the fall of 1985, the club was founded in August 1986 and chartered on January 9, 1988. Its members work to foster community service, high ethical standards in business and the professions, and goodwill and peace, and the club makes local grants each year through its giving program.
