Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs Ronald McDonald House San Diego, a home away from home for families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions at local hospitals. Established in 1980, the House sits just steps from the region’s children’s hospital and now welcomes 82 families each night, and each year about 600 families stay there during a child’s hospitalization. Its Hoehn Motors Luxury Car Raffle helps keep the House open for the families who need it.
