The Polson Museum in Hoquiam, Washington, is Grays Harbor’s history museum and a National Historic Site. Founded in 1976 on more than two acres of parkland given to the City of Hoquiam by the Arnold Polson family, it is run by the nonprofit Polson Park and Museum Historical Society to preserve, present and promote the history of Grays Harbor County. The museum has grown into a campus of five buildings along Riverside Avenue plus an 80-acre forest preserve at historic Camp Klahanee, with logging-era machinery, gardens and a photo database of more than 34,000 images, and its annual Red Car Raffle helps support it.
