The Jimmie Johnson Foundation in Charlotte, North Carolina, is dedicated to helping children, families and communities in need throughout the United States. Chandra and Jimmie Johnson launched it in 2006, and it has focused on K-12 public education through its Champions Grant program for schools in California, Oklahoma and North Carolina. Past programs included the Helmet of Hope, which featured a charity on Jimmie’s helmet during a NASCAR Cup Series race, and the raffle of his own Chevrolet.
