Fair Lane, in Dearborn, Michigan, was the home of Clara and Henry Ford from 1915 until their deaths, and it was one of the first sites named a National Historic Landmark. The estate includes a 56-room mansion and a five-story powerhouse. It is owned by a nonprofit, not the Ford family or Ford Motor Company, and the home is closed for restoration while the gardens and grounds stay open, with wider access expected in early 2027.
