The Georgetown Volunteer Fire Company in Connecticut was organized in May 1928 by citizens who saw the need for fire protection in their community. Today it provides fire and emergency medical services to about 4,500 people across 8.3 square miles in parts of Redding, Weston and Wilton. Its annual car raffle is a major fundraiser.
