The Friends of Tri-Valley Foundation in Chanute, Kansas, raises money to build quality, affordable homes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities served by Tri-Valley Developmental Services, which began in 1975 and now serves several southeast Kansas counties. Since 2000 the foundation has built six homes and acquired six houses plus a duplex that are now home to 62 people. Its annual truck raffle, now in its 27th year, is the main fundraiser for that work.
