The Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, works to give people the knowledge and understanding of amyloidosis for earlier detection and a better quality of life for those living with the disease. It is named for Chip Miller, who co-founded Carlisle Events and created the Corvettes at Carlisle show, and who died of amyloidosis in 2004, a few months after his diagnosis. The foundation funds awareness, patient support and the Chip Miller Memorial Scholarship, and its yearly Corvette sweepstakes is a major fundraiser.
