The Central Adirondack Association in Old Forge, New York, was founded in 1922 as the Central Adirondack Hotel Association by local business owners including John LeSure, Earl B. Barrett, Ben Higby and Roy C. Higby. It serves a 70-mile stretch of the Adirondacks from Forestport through Old Forge to Indian Lake and Long Lake, across Oneida, Herkimer and Hamilton counties. The nonprofit supports local businesses and runs many of the area’s events and traditions, including its car raffle.
