The Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska is a charity that raises money for cancer research through an annual event held at a different Nebraska ranch community each year, which also promotes beef as part of a healthy diet. Ninety percent of the proceeds go to cancer research at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha, and the other 10 percent goes back to the host area for health and wellness projects. Since the first Ball in 1998 it has raised more than $21 million, and its truck raffle is one of the event’s fundraisers.
