Camp Freedom in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, is a nonprofit that provides outdoor healing adventures for disabled veterans, first responders, their families, Gold Star families and Gold Shield families. On its 2,350 acres it offers year-round hunting, fishing, shooting sports, hiking and biking, moving guests out of clinical settings and into nature, with peer-to-peer camaraderie to help them find new purpose. It has served guests from 47 states, and its vehicle raffles helped support the camp.
