Boys and Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region in Cleveland, Tennessee, began on June 1, 1964, when the first Boys Club was incorporated at 255 South Broad Street under its first president, the Rev. Harold Ray. Its clubs offer safe and encouraging places to go during out-of-school time so that all young people, especially those who need them most, can reach their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens. Through a federal food program, meals are provided at no separate charge to all club kids at every unit.
