Bethlehem High School in Bardstown, Kentucky, was founded in 1819 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and is the oldest school still operating in the state of Kentucky, public or private. Today it is a Christ-centered, coeducational Catholic college-preparatory school, the only Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Louisville outside Jefferson County, drawing students from 11 counties. It reports an average class size of 25 and 100 percent college acceptance, and its Super Raffle has offered a car of the winner’s choice.
