The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum in Auburn, Indiana, opened on July 6, 1974, in the 1930 factory showroom and headquarters building of the Auburn Automobile Company, rescued by local citizens determined to create a lasting tribute to Auburn’s motorcar heritage. It shows more than 120 cars on three levels in nine galleries, from Classic era cars and Indiana-built cars to racing and engineering exhibits and the company’s original showroom and offices. Its mission is to preserve the past and give audiences of all ages an educational journey through the past, present and future of transportation.
