When most people hear the word ‘church’, they think of a building or a place or somewhere to go on Sundays. At The Altar, church means much more. Church is not a building but people. People whose lives have been radically changed through their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe that Christ makes a difference in our families, our work, our children, our marriages, and in everything we do. Church is where we are – at home, at a game, in a carpool, in school, next door, across the street, at the office, on the jobsite, and even on the internet. Each week we hear new stories of how someone from The Altar helped a neighbor through a tough time, prayed with a coworker who needed to know that someone cared, or just took time to listen and be a friend.
