Syracuse Habitat for Humanity, Syracuse, New York, is an ecumenical Christian ministry that builds simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with God’s people in need. At Syracuse Habitat for Humanity, we lend a “hand up, not a hand out.” Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Syracuse Habitat for Humanity builds and rehabs homes that are sold to qualifying applicants at no profit and are financed with no interest, 30-year loans. This allows people who would not otherwise qualify for a mortgage due to income to become first time homeowners.
