Heartland Housing Assistance (HHA), St, Clair Shores, Michigan, is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Michigan. As our name suggests, we assist veterans in obtaining gainful employment in the carpentry, electricians, plumbers, heating and cooling, painters and related trades necessary to renovate residential housing. The houses are located in the tri-county area of Detroit, Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties, and in most cases they are in need of total restoration as a result of deferred maintenance. Upon completion of the restoration process, these homes are then listed for sale and sold to qualified veterans at cost.
Overall, our veterans have always taken care of us and now it is our turn to help them in any way that we can. It has always been our goal to help provide safe, secure and affordable housing to those in need. Additionally, a portion of the contributions we receive is directed to The Salvation Army or to a designated disaster relief program.
