St. John Parish Darien, Ct: The St. John Parents Association was formed to foster parent involvement and to facilitate parent-teacher communication and fellowship. The SJPA raises funds for special projects and enrichment programs for our school as well as organizes charitable community outreach programs to help teach our children the spirit of giving.
Through play and directed learning activities, we work to encourage a child’s social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual growth while respecting their own learning style. Our environment is welcoming, joyful and nurturing. We promote a love of God and an understanding of community that encourages respect of self and others.
We believe early school experiences represent a time when social interaction and play will stimulate creativity, exploration and self- awareness. Children develop a sense of their own uniqueness and interest in learning that prepares them for elementary school and beyond.
