NoResolve.org’s mission is to reduce youth suicides by educating teens about the warning signs of depression and suicidal behavior and serve as a bridge to help, hope and available resources.
Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for 15-24 year olds and the 2nd leading cause of death for American college-age students. Thousands of students are affected by thoughts of suicide every day.
If parents, teachers, counselors, and other teens will start the discussion, we can teach kids how to save lives – to reach out for help or recognize when another is in distress. Teens will often talk with each other about these things. It’s critical that we give them the knowledge and resources to know what to do when someone may be suicidal. Working together we can save lives.
In this unique presentation, Dennis Liegghio, founder of NoResolve.org and survivor of suicide, truly connects with students, promoting a message of hope. His youthful and enthusiastic personality combined with a powerful musical approach particularly appeals to the students.
