Penobscot Marine Museum, Searsport, Maine, brings Maine’s maritime history to life on a campus of beautiful historic buildings in the charming seacoast village of Searsport, Maine. Exhibits throughout the campus tell unique stories of ship captains and their families, the industries of Penobscot Bay, global maritime trade, and today’s fisheries.

The Museum also develops changing seasonal and traveling exhibits and conducts educational outreach throughout Maine. The Museum has over 200,000 historic photographs, an extensive collection of maritime artifacts and archives, and a maritime history research library. The Museum offices and research library are open year-round. Exhibits are open seven days a week, Memorial Day weekend through the third Sunday in October.

The Penobscot Marine Museum is the oldest maritime museum in Maine. It preserves, interprets, and celebrates the rich maritime culture of the Penobscot Bay region and beyond through collections, education, and community engagement.

This 2-door hardtop promises to turn heads with its red paint, black stripes, and chrome accents. With a big block 390 CID (S code) V-8 engine, C-6 transmission, and the original Safety Convenience Group, this is a rare opportunity. Only 2,500 of these were built.

This car has been beautifully restored. Originally built in San Jose, California, it went to Texas and South Carolina before moving to Maine in 2008. Once in Maine, it received a total restoration in 2008 and has been garaged and never driven in inclement weather since. The engine was upgraded with Edlebrock high performance cam, heads, intake, and carburetor. Additional add-ons include headers and a high capacity oil pan. The engine compartment has been dressed with chrome parts to complement the car’s eye-catching exterior.
