Holy Wisdom Parish in Pittsburgh, Pa., was established in May 1994, by the Most Reverend Donald W. Wuerl, then Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, to care for the spiritual needs of the Spring Hill and North Side communities. In addition to serving the spiritual needs of its parishioners, the parish serves the poor, elderly, and sick; works collaboratively with the surrounding civic community; and supplements the cost of tuition for its Catholic school children.
