We were the fourth Ronald McDonald House to open their doors in California. Our first Ronald McDonald House was a 7 room facility. The facility was started with a great deal of excitement and support from the local community and partnership with Valley Children’s Hospital. As the surrounding area grew, so did the need for the hospital to expand. When they moved to a new location about 20 minutes away, we followed.</p> </div> <p class="font_8">On February 14, 2001, we expanded to an 18 bedroom Ronald McDonald House located adjacent to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, CA.
