History of the Founding of the Rotary Club of Everett-Port Gardner:
In the fall of 1985, due to the rapid growth in Everett it became apparent that more Rotary Club’s ere needed in the area. A committee was established under the leadership of Everett Rotary Club Noon president Mark Samuelson. The focus was to determine the feasibility of and process by which a new club would be formed. The committee included these noted community leaders. Bill Dobler, Tom Rainville, Mark Nesse, Dale Lyski, Travis Snyder, and Earl Smiley. One of the original names considered was Everett-Milltown Rotary Club.
