Raffle Benefits
“A Friend Indeed is a non-profit company which assists its recipients with a complete range of affordable, high-quality, home repair, maintenance, and building services. We invest 80% of all contributions into low to moderate income neighborhoods with an objective to make lives more livable by repairing, rebuilding, enhancing, or building homes and communities with construction assistance.
Established in 2003, A Friend Indeed has partnered with other relief teams through-out the country. In New Orleans, post hurricane Katrina, our organization helped revitalize and rebuild the seventh ward by reconstructing homes, churches, and community centers. We built a youth camp in Alaska, and here in Arizona we assisted in providing and constructing temporary shelter for homeless, single, pregnant, mothers who faced uncertainty towards child birth. These are just a few examples of the valuable work being accomplished through A Friend Indeed and its supporters.
Primary funding for A Friend Indeed has come from private, charitable, gifts and contributions. A Friend Indeed is diligent at utilizing volunteers and contractors who are willing to donate their time, areas of expertise, or products to our building, rebuilding, or repair work. However, there are projects that require funding beyond what is donated to the cause. Therefore, we accept competitive bids in order to maximize the investment.
These are challenging times. Extending our services to those who are in need is vital, now more than ever. Together with our contributors, A Friend Indeed can help to overcome sub-standard and non-existent living conditions.
