The good folks at Brevard are back again!
The Brevard Music Center, a summer institute and festival, enrolls a select group of the world’s finest young musicians for a seven-week program of intensive study, rehearsal, and performance. Their efforts are manifest in some 80 public performances that attract large, regional audiences.
Students work with a select artist faculty of 60, drawn from distinguished orchestras, conservatories, and universities. However, the Music Center goes beyond providing lessons and performance opportunities. A distinctive feature of the Brevard Music Center is the sense of community that emerges each summer. By living, working, and performing alongside faculty and guest artists, students have unique learning opportunities not found at other summer music organizations.
Each summer the Brevard Music Center transforms a small mountain community into a cultural gathering place where
artists are nurtured, ideas are shared, and audiences are inspired. Engage in the Brevard Music Center experience and perhaps your life will also be inspired.
Last year, proceeds from the BMW raffle raised over $60,000 to benefit student education programs at BMC, and the winner drove home a shiny new Beemer!
