The Newtown Lions Club was chartered in 1949. The club carries out the Lions motto “We Serve” by supporting and participating in international and state programs and by contributing to the local community. Fund raising activities include our annual Classic Mustang Raffle, The Great Pootatuck Duck Race, and various community projects. All funds raised thru these efforts go towards our charitable efforts. The club and its members do not benefit from any funds generated from these activities.

We meet the needs of our local communities and the World. Join us in making our communities and the world a better place to live.

The Newtown Lions Club 2026 Mustang Car Raffle Grand Prize: - Atlas Blue Metallic 2024 Mustang Convertible - It has a black top and a sophisticated and luxurious "Ember glo Active X" interior, This car features 315 horsepower and 350 lb. ft. of torque with turbocharging from the eco boosted 2.3 liter engine and a 10 speed automatic transmission - Drawing Will be held at 1PM, October 17, 2026 at Edmund Town Hall in Newtown, Ct. - When you enter our Car Raffle you are helping the Lions help Serve our Community, All net proceeds from Lions raffles and events go to Lions Charities - All Net proceeds from this raffle will be used for Lions Charities - (posted 7/31/2026) -
