Shepherd’s Heart, Waco, Texas;

Shepherds Heart Food Pantry began serving families in need in June, 2010. We exist to meet poverty and hunger head on and overcome it. Today it is one of the largest Food Pantries in Central Texas serving thousands of families to protect their children from being without food.

The poverty rate in our area is twice the national average; more specifically, there are over 40,000 people affected by “food Insecurity” in our community; 41% of those people are children who must rely on adults to provide for them.

Our Mission is to feed, clothe, empower, and advocate for families in need in our community, demonstrating to them the love of God.

Each year, Shepherd’s Heart serves over 29,000 local families through the Food Pantry and now, since the Covid-19 pandemic, they need community support more than ever.
