Girls Inc. of Bay County is a charitable non-profit organization that provides after school programs, full day summer programs, and teen outreach programs in schools throughout Bay County, in Florida. Our organization was founded in 1974, and this year we are celebrating 50 years! Girls Inc. is the pre-eminent girls’ leadership organization equipping girls to reach their full potential. It is a national organization with over 70 affiliates across the U.S. and Canada. Girls Inc. of Bay County is one of those affiliates, and the only one in the Northwest Florida region. We currently serve over 400 girls annually.
Our Centers, serving girls ages 6-18, are safe places to go, to be supported by peers, teachers, and mentors. Girls learn to value themselves, take risks, and develop confidence through research-based programming in areas such as STEM, economic literacy, health, wellness, civic engagement, and so much more. Our programs are built to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. We design programs to help girls build the skills and confidence needed to become healthy, educated, and independent young women. We also provide the necessary transportation from a myriad of schools to our afterschool programs at both sites, to all the girls we serve.
