is an award winning organization. Our mission is to bridge the educational and social gaps existing amongst “at-risk” youth, families and communities in New Hanover County. With strong leadership, capable staff, dedicated students, interns and volunteers. WRAAP plays an instrumental role in helping “at-risk” youth reach their fullest potential. WRAAP has an active network of community partners, student interns and volunteers who are working together to help make a difference. The WRAAP After-School Enrichment Academy Program promotes self-reliance and healthy lifestyles through education, mentoring and advocacy. The targeted population is identified as at-risk youth whom are latch-keyed , have low academic achievement or have some court involvement. We help children, families, and communities break the cycle of poverty by empowering people of all ages to dream, aspire and achieve.
