Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region, Cleveland, Tennessee;
In June 1964 on South Broad Street, Cleveland, TN, in what some may remember as Moore’s Funeral Home, the very first Boys Club was incorporated, led by the Rev. Harold Ray, the Club’s first president.
Our Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Our Vision: We have a dream that every child who walks through our doors will have the opportunity:
To have a safe and encouraging place to go during out-of-school time.
To be engaged by caring, friendly, welcoming staff .
To have positive learning opportunities in four key outcome areas: Academic Success,
Good Character and Citizenship,
Healthy Lifestyles, and
The Arts.
To have a variety of Club experiences that foster creativity and imagination.
To be inspired to achieve great futures.
For more than a century, Boys & Girls Clubs have helped put young people on the path to great futures.
Kids and teens who regularly attend a Club do better than their peers.
