What do you get when you take a classic first-generation Corvette and restore it with money being no object? You’re looking at it — a street-scorching Salsa Red 1962 Corvette roadster, which could bring home the First-place trophy at any car show.

This classic first-generation Vette has all the right stuff to make you the king of the driver’s seat, like an award-winning paint job, genuine Italian-grade leather bucket seats, a fuel-injected Chevy LS3 engine, an electronic four-speed transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, coilover suspension and removable hardtop.

Plus, this rockin’ Corvette roadster features a big-dollar Art Morrison chassis, a Ford 9-inch rear end, a rear triangulated four-link suspension, 17-inch wheels and tires and Magnaflow dual exhaust.

Our favorite feature of this grand-prize Vette, in case you’d like to know, is the ZR1-style hood with glass insert. It allows you (and others) to view the small-block without ever raising the hood. That brings us to another of this classic convertible’s far-out features – an under-dash switch, which hydraulically raises and lowers the ZR1-style hood from the comfort of the driver’s seat. Not even a new Corvette has that.
