The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN), Takoma Park, Maryland, is the first grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to fighting global warming in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Our mission is to build a diverse movement powerful enough to put our region on the path to climate stability, while using our proximity to the nation’s capital to inspire action in neighboring states, regions nationwide, and countries around the world.

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network was founded by Mike Tidwell, a long-time journalist dedicated to creating a regional grassroots organization committed to climate action. CCAN officially launched on July 1, 2002 with a seed grant from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

2018 Tesla Model 3
The Tesla Model 3 is fully electric, so you never need to visit a gas station again.

It's a prize with a total value of more than $60,000.

CCAN’s Prize consists of;
(a) a 2018 Model 3 Tesla with Mid Range Rear-Wheel Drive and an All Black Premium Interior worth US$46,000;
(b) a payment of US$15,180 to the Internal Revenue Service for the backup tax withholding required for this Prize. The total expenditure by CCAN on the Climate Tesla Raffle Prize is worth US$61,180.

This Model 3 was donated to CCAN by a generous benefactor, so your donation goes straight to our work for cleaner transportation and less climate pollution.

The cost of your ticket goes to fund the inspired work of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network. We’re a registered non-profit whose mission is to promote clean-energy policies across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC and across the nation.

The raffle will close at 4:00pm on Friday, May 31, and the drawing will take place at 5:00pm that day.
