St. Boniface Catholic Church,Fulda, Indiana.
The town of Fulda, Indiana was founded in 1845 and was named after Fulda, Germany. This is mainly due to its residents were made up of German Catholic immigrants. Two short years later in 1847, the Saint Boniface Catholic Parish was founded. The parish named after the Patron Saint of Germany, Saint Boniface. The Saint Boniface Catholic Parish in Fulda, Indiana was founded with its first mass celebrated on the Feast of St. Boniface, June 5, 1847 in the host of Caper Hurm. Work began on the original church that year, which was made of logs and was 45′ x 30′. A year later, the log church was completed.
