The Center for Enriched Living, (CEL), Riverwoods, IL, has been in existence since 1968 and serves members of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities – such as Down syndrome, autism, and Fragile X syndrome – from more than 50 communities in the Chicagoland area.
We offer our 500+ members social enrichment and educational programs that provide an opportunity to connect and belong. At CEL, our members find a not only a community, but a sense of belonging and a place that feels like home, where they actively participate in choosing their activities and creating opportunities for greater independence and new experiences.
With input from our members, we provide a variety of programs in both a stimulating and social environment. From life skills and technology classes to social outings at water parks and sporting events, CEL allows our members to achieve and define their own success.
