Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation,Elkton, Maryland:
NCH Foundation provides financial assistance and education for supportive care to hospice patients and their families regardless of age, race, sex, diagnoses, religion, disability, national origin or socioeconomic status. NCH Foundation strives to remove the financial barriers that would keep patients and their families from receiving hospice care.
Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation is a small local non-profit in Cecil County, Maryland.
We provide support to local hospice patients no matter who the hospice provider is.
We also have an In-School Bereavement program we offer to all schools in the county, public,
private, & parochial. The program runs once a week for 6 weeks. The sessions are held in the
school during the school day. Students are referred to the program if they are having a difficult
time dealing with a death. A drop in grades, discipline issues, and withdrawing from friends can
all be signs that a child or adolescent is in need of support.
A 2 hour workshop for parents and other adults titled How Children Grieve is offered through
the public schools by NCH Foundation.
Help us support these important programs as we support children/adolescents who are struggling
through grief. If we can help them work through their grief, they can become the healthy
productive adults they were meant to be.
