Holy Wisdom Parish, Pittsburgh PA., was established on May 28, 1994, by the Most Reverend Donald W. Wuerl, then Bishop of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Holy Wisdom Parish was created by the merger of the former parishes of St. Ambrose and St. Boniface.
Holy Wisdom Parish has worship sites at St. Ambrose Church and at St. Boniface Church. Both churches are located on the North Side of the City of Pittsburgh, within three miles of the central business district of downtown Pittsburgh. Holy Wisdom Parish provides spiritual and educational services to its parishioners and serves the needs of the poor and underprivileged in the North Side community.
To raise funds for its charitable programs, Holy Wisdom Parish started an annual Corvette raffle in 1995. 2015 represents the 21st consecutive year that the parish has purchased and raffled a Corvette. Over the 21 years, the parish has purchased and raffled Corvettes from the C1 through C6 generations of Corvettes. The body, hardware, mechanics and electronics of every Corvette have been of the highest quality and condition.
