The Long Point Civic League: Welcome to Long Point! We are a neighborhood of 540 single family homes and town homes located in the Churchland area of Portsmouth, close to the Hoffler’s Creek Nature Preserve. Our neighborhood is approximately 23 years old, and features a beautiful man-made lake providing waterfront property for several of the homes. Long Point has an active Civic League that works to improve the quality of life for our residents. Our recent initiatives include sponsoring a Neighborhood-Wide Block Party, hosting a National Night-Out event and working to re-invigorate our Neighborhood Watch Program. We publish the Long Point Ledger newsletter and hold our Civic League Meetings at St. Mark’s Church on the third Thursday of every other month at 7pm. We are 
committed to keeping our residents involved and informed! Come be a part and take a look around. We think you will agree that great things are happening in Long Point!
