Louisville High School, Woodland Hills, CA., is a college preparatory, Catholic high school for young women with a long and proud academic tradition. Founded in 1960 by the Sisters of St. Louis, Louisville’s heritage can be traced to the mid-1800’s when the Sisters of St. Louis were founded in France. Coming to California from Ireland in 1949 the Sisters were led by Sister Mary Ronan, who was inspired to move forward with confidence in God and openness toward the horizons of the future.
Louisville High School is more than a secondary school; it is a Catholic center for academics within an atmosphere of spirituality, community and outreach. College preparation at Louisville encompasses the processes of personal development necessary for authentic understanding and creative application of knowledge. Areas of personal development include self-identity, responsible use of freedom, and courageous self-expression.
