Turnstone, founded in 1943, began as an educational program with volunteers teaching six children in one room of a house. Since those modest beginnings, the agency has expanded to serve more than 2,200 individuals with physical disabilities and their families annually at its state-of-the-art facility or through in-home services.
Throughout seven decades of growth, Turnstone has stayed focused on enhancing the lives of people with physical disabilities and their families. Turnstone educates, advocates and builds skills, enabling people with disabilities to gain greater self sufficiency and independence.
