Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley, CA;
We started with One. One little girl diagnosed with cancer. One family needing support. One doctor that felt it necessary. One community that rallied together. One team and organization that partnered to see it through.
The first Ronald McDonald House of the Central Valley opened on Millbrook Ave. in 1984. We were the fourth Ronald McDonald House to open their doors in California. Our first Ronald McDonald House as a 7 room facility. The facility was started with a great deal of excitement and support from the local community and partnership with Valley Children’s Hospital. As the surrounding area grew, so did the need for the hospital to expand. When they moved to a new location about 20 minutes away, we followed. On February 14, 2001, we expanded to an 18 bedroom Ronald McDonald House located adjacent to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, CA.
Each year hundreds of families stay at the Ronald McDonald House of the Central Valley. We rely solely on the generosity of the community to provide for our families and the opportunity to continue to expand our services to those when they need it the most. We could not do it without your continuous dedication and support.
