Helping Seniors of Brevard, located in Satellite Beach, Florida, seeks to inform, educate, and connect seniors to available resources that will help meet their health, legal, financial, and personal needs. We do this through a senior helpline; extensive media programs including print, television, radio, and Internet; and senior advocacy efforts to plan for current and future needs. Since 2014, we have served nearly 2,000 seniors and their caregivers with our free services. Ultimately we plan to establish a locally funded senior care endowment that will assist low income elders.
With one in two persons in Brevard aged 50+ (AARP definition of senior), and one in four persons aged 65+, the work of Helping Seniors is an important link to information and help for seniors who are desperately seeking solutions for an array of issues impacting their quality of life. The 1951 Ford Victoria was given to us by a local car dealer from his personal collection with the caveat that we use the proceeds to help people.
