About the National Parkinson Foundation:

Founded in 1957, the National Parkinson Foundation is one of the oldest Parkinson’s organizations. Our mission is to improve the quality of Parkinson’s care and to help develop exemplary care for this generation of Parkinson’s patients through research, education, and outreach.

Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $140 million in patient care and support services for its Centers of Excellence network, addressing unmet needs at all stages of Parkinson’s disease. In FY 2009, NPF funded a total of nearly $9 million in programs dedicated to Parkinson’s disease.

Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael is a Conservative Congregation with a rich history of more than 100 years, and a bright and energetic future. Located in the heart of Historic Morristown, MJCBY is traditional in style and egalitarian in participation. We are an exciting and engaged community that seeks to instill the joy and love of Judaism in all that we do.

We are committed to serving the needs of all of our members, young and old, and we do so with enthusiasm. Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael has a rich and vibrant history of more that 100 years. Incorporated as the House of Israel on January 5, 1899, our first meeting place was at 4 Race Street. With the growth of the community, our present site was purchased on May 7, 1918 from the estate of Heyward G. Hemmel.

Rabbi Signer, our first spiritual leader, was hired in 1921 on a part-time basis. He later became our full-time Rabbi, and served until his retirement in 1924. With dramatic growth of our congregation so came the need for a larger building. The cornerstone of our current building was laid on March 3, 1929.

Countless times our parents have said that their children can’t wait to go to school in the morning and are disappointed when the school year comes to a close. Although we as adults may think of these breaks as

 a necessary time to recharge our batteries and gear up for the school year ahead, Stevens students are being energized by the progressive curriculum employed in our school everyday. They do not view school as a chore, or hard work to be avoided. They look at our school as a place where their questions will be answered, where their ideas will be valued and where their contribution to the school community is absolutely essential.”

Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton, MA is excited to announce their 2009 Prius for Pets Car Raffle. In partnership with Bernardi Toyota, Baypath will raffle off a new 2009 Toyota Prius. Tickets are currently on sale both online and at the shelter, 5 Rafferty Road, Hopkinton. The raffle drawing will be held on November 1, 2009, at Baypath’s First Annual Paws & Claws 5-K Run/Walk event at Hopkinton State Park.

The Prius awarded will have an MSRP value of $22,988. The winner will be able to choose from the colors available at that time. To increase the odds of winning, Baypath will sell no more than 1,200. Tickets are $50 each, and multiple, discount ticket packs are available.

Baypath is asking the public not only to assist in the success in this event by purchasing a ticket, but to assist the shelter in selling tickets as well. Baypath needs volunteer ticket sellers who can create their own personal web pages via the web-based tool on Baypath’s website. Despite the struggling economy, Baypath decided to move ahead with this event in hopes that it can provide some much-needed revenue for the shelter. The shelter, like so many others, has had to face rising costs of our business, including heating, supplies, behavior modification and medical care for our “guests”. Over the past year Baypath has treated animals with a variety of medical ailments such as heartworm, lyme, pneumonia, eye problems and FIV, just to name a few. In addition, we have invested in some intense training programs for some of our longer resident dogs with special behavioral needs in order to help them reach their potential before finding their ‘forever homes.’

Baypath chose a Prius because it is large enough to be used as a small family car, but trendy enough to pique serious interest as a car raffle prize. Only a few months ago, there were long waiting lists at dealerships across the country to purchase a Prius, most notably because of their high gas mileage, and in general they are viewed as an environmentally-conscious car. The Prius is rated five stars by J.D Power & Associates on both Overall Mechanical Quality and Green Efficiency, and is listed as a Top Pick in the ‘Best Compact’ category.

In the event Baypath is unable to sell enough tickets to merit giving away the car, the raffle will be converted to a 50-50 cash prize, where the money raised will be split between the winner and Baypath. Baypath will use 100% of the net income for charitable purposes as general operating funds.

Established in 1977, Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. During 2008, Baypath placed 1,037 animals into new homes. Baypath is a 501(c)3 organization, a non-profit who receives no funds from state or local governments or other organizations. Baypath amasses all funds via adoption fees, donations from the community, our own fundraising efforts.

Located in Glendale Arizona, Luke Air Force Base (LAFB) is the largest air base in the world, and if ranked by fighter aircraft, Luke would be approximately the 7th largest Air Force in the world. There are more than 180 F-16’s housed at Luke.

LAFB trains 75% of all F-16 pilots with more than 180 training sorties performed every day. That’s roughly the same amount of sorties performed as in the opening days of Operation Desert Storm.
There are more than 5,000 Airmen stationed at Luke Air Force Base with more than 600 deployed in Afghanistan, Iraq and around the world every year.

The mission of the 56th Fighter Wing is to train the world’s finest F-16 fighter pilots and crew chiefs while providing agile combat support for air and space expeditionary forces.
The 56th Fighter Wing manages 1.1 million of the 2.7 million acres that comprise the Barry M. Goldwater Range in Southern Arizona. The United States Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force Reserves and the Arizona National Guard use the Goldwater Range for training critical to the defense of our Nation and our freedom.

Luke is an incomparable economic engine for Arizona, contributing more than 7,000 jobs and $2.17 billion annually, directly and indirectly, to our local economy.
The Military is the largest employer in Arizona, employing more than 83,000 active duty, reserve and civilians at military installations statewide.
