1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible: Stuffing a massive 427 cubic inch engine topped with three 2 – barrel carburetors into America’s favorite sports car resulted in a predictable ground-pounding, tire-shredding beast. The black “stinger” on the hood lets everyone know that a big-block lurks beneath. Estimated at 435 horsepower this car is a thrill to drive. The heart-thumping side exhaust only adds to the experience. This roadster is finished in striking Rally Red with black interior and top. Factory style “bolt-on” wheels with red line tires add to the original appearance of this restored iconic muscle car. No automatic here, you’ll have to go through the gears yourself with the much more desirable four speed transmission.

Corvette Black Book 1953-2008

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) recognized that their skills could be used to the benefit children served by Kids Wish Network. Like John Lingenfelter did, many of these children are also fighting for their lives. The crew at LPE will be converting an already powerful brand new 2008 Red Corvette Convertible into a car worthy of the Lingenfelter name. This one-of-kind tribute to their founder, friend and mentor will be signed by the “build crew” and become an instant and desirable classic. Most importantly, the net proceeds will be used to benefit many more deserving children.

The car will be equipped with an all aluminum 427 cubic inch block and will pump out an incredible 570 horsepower. The 2LT equipped Corvette has an automatic transmission as recommended by LPE. Custom body modifications will clearly define this car as no ordinary roadster and the special exhaust will announce its arrival. As a tribute to John Lingenfelter the Corvette Dream Giveaway Grand Prize winner will be announced December 25th, five years to the day from his passing.

The “Spring Fling 2009 Get Your Motor Runnin’ 1965 Mustang Raffle” benefits the Episcopal School of Lafayette, LA. Students from across Acadiana come to ESA for an engaging education rooted in Episcopal values. What they discover is a place to explore and to develop all the skills they need to grow into healthy, successful individuals. Our curriculum is illuminated by an interactive teaching style that creates lifelong learners who think – and communicate – clearly and effectively. Instruction emphasizes problem-solving, independent thinking and creativity. ESA teachers love to teach because they know what it’s like to love to learn. They share a passion for the subjects they teach and for the students they mentor.

Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation’s Adult Day Care Program provides relief from the constant supervision, companionship, therapeutic and personal care of the dementia patient. A protective environment in a home-like atmosphere, staffed with caring health professionals and volunteers serves the needs of frail elders and their families with dignity, empathy and respect. Friends and family who are coping with round-the-clock caregiving can enjoy peace of mind when they enroll loved ones in the program, which is specifically designed to encompass the capabilities of each client.

Caregivers who place Alzheimer patients in daycare programs have lower levels of care giving-related stress, better attendance at work and better psychological well-being than persons who do not use this service. Three important needs are addressed through the program: socialization, safety and respite. Activities modified for the cognitively impaired and a full day of socialization with peers are offered. Adult daycare can also reduce behavioral problems and prevent excess disability and functional decline. Program objectives include assisting clients in maximizing their existing health and abilities, allowing clients to remain in their homes longer, maintaining health and mental stability and enabling caregivers to function longer in a care giving role.

The Bridge Fund Incorporated was founded in 1966 in the Lower Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and has served as a pioneer in providing one of the city’s first supplementary education programs to the struggling Boston Public School system. In recent years, significant changes to family needs and concerns with the fiscal management of the state’s childcare voucher system, led to the leadership of the organizationtoevaluate its mission and philosophy. The Board of Directors conducted a strategic planning process with many of the families we served to develop a comprehensive needs assessment for families. The parents rely on their own parents to provide daycare for children and vise versa. We found that there are a few services beyond Medicaid or Medicare funded programs that provide family support services for the aging. There are few supports in place for elderly residents, kids, as well as youths in the community, and we are now seeking support to expand our Home Care Program to address the increasing demand and need to care for aging residents at home. Therefore, support for kids and youth by providing children with opportunities to realize their full potential through fulfilling life experience.

The Northeast Classic Car Museum is an educational facility that collects, preserves, interprets and exhibits vehicles related to the evolution of transportation, with particular emphasis on the role of the automobile and its impact on American Culture.

The Northeast Classic Car Museum is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, chartered by the New York State Department of Education. The Museum is funded by the generous private donors, fund-raising efforts, and by admissions and gift shop sales. Governed by a 20+ member Board of Trustees, the Museum relies on 3 paid staff members and nearly 100 volunteers for operations.

The Museum opened on Memorial Day weekend 1997 with one building and just over 50 vehicles on display. Currently, over 100 vehicles are on display in 3 connected buildings. Informative videos, period fashions, and more enhance the Museum experience. In May of 2009, the Museum plans to open another nearly 30,000 square feet of exhibit space.
