The International Motor Racing Research Center at Watkins Glen is to be the world-class leader in the collection of materials representing the documentary heritage of amateur and professional motor racing, highlighting Sports Car, Formula 1, NASCAR, and vintage and Historic racing. The Research Center maintains archives for the personal papers of drivers, journalists and authors; rare books, serial publications, and reference books pertaining to drivers, cars, races and the history of motor racing; the historical records and newsletters of clubs and motor racing teams and corporations; and historical photographs, movie films, videos, oral histories, and memorabilia. Operating according to professional archival standards of preservation and bibliographic cataloguing, the Research Center is open to all for primary research, offers extensive reference and other public services, and makes the wealth of gathered information available worldwide through computer technology.


Raffle Prize - 1967 Bullitt Mustang
A 1967 Mustang, one-of-a-kind “resto-mod” built as a tribute to the famous Ford Highland Green Mustang driven by Steve McQueen in the 1968 blockbuster movie “Bullitt.”The car is fitted with four-wheel disc brakes, a Tremec TR-3550 five-speed transmission with Pro-5.0 shifter, fully independent front and rear suspension with QA-1 variable rate coil springs, Heidt power assisted rack and pinion steering. Includes a totally rebuilt Ford 390 engine, with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and much more.
