In the four years that the KCFB Foundation has held its annual raffle, nearly $70,000 has been raised to support college scholarships and the education of Kane County youth about agriculture.
The Foundation Raffle originally started with an annual “Winner’s Choice” Tractor Raffle to raise money to fund college scholarship and agricultural literacy programs. In 2007, the “

winner’s choice” drawing for a 1953 Farmall Super H, a 2006 John Deere X324 4-Wheel Steer Lawn Tractor or $3, 000 cash was held Saturday, March 31 at the Kane County Farm Bureau’s award winning Touch-a-Tractor event. Second prize was a JD model JS40 7hp walk behind mower. The winner of the raffle in 2007 was Dan Hartmann, coincidentally one of our 2006 scholarship recipients.
The 2008 raffle choices were a restored 1952 John Deere B or a new Cub Cadet LT 1046 riding mower. Vicki Pelock was the Grand Prize winner on March, 29, 2008 at the Kane County Farm Bureau’s 3rd Annual Touch-a-Tractor Open House. Vicki chose the 1952 John Deere B.
